    The Pixwell Gooseberry is a popular, hardy, and productive shrub known for its high yields of sweet-fleshed, tart-skinned berries that ripen from green to a distinct pinkish-purple, making them great for pies, jams, or fresh eating, with fewer thorns than other varieties and good cold hardiness (Zone 3-8). This self-pollinating shrub offers easier picking due to berries hanging away from branches and tolerates various soils but prefers moisture and full sun to partial shade.
